The Orchestra Society raises money for scholarships with our annual Evening with the Orchestra fundraiser. Dinner and drinks are served at the KSU Student Center Ballroom, followed by a concert by the orchestra.

Plus the conduct-the-orchestra auction for 2026

Each year the Orchestra Society holds an auction for the prize of conducting the orchestra for one piece the following year at the Evening With the Orchestra. The chance to conduct comes with rehearsal time and instruction from the Director. This auction not only raises funds for the Guest Conductors’ Scholarship Endowment but also provides an amazing opportunity for anyone who has ever wanted to be a conductor for a day. Several valuable items will also be auctioned off.

Cost: $90 per person ($30 of which is a tax-deductible donation)
Adopt a student mucisian for the evening with a $50 tax-deductible donation.
